Production
If your project is green-lit and ready to shoot, you’ll want someone in the room with extensive and puppet-specific experience. As a DGA director and SAG-AFTRA puppeteer, I have worked almost exclusively on puppet shows for my entire career. I can help you find the best puppet builders, costumers, and wranglers (what’s this?), and help guide you through the pre-production process as it relates to puppets. We can put together a diverse and stellar cast of performers who will truly bring your project to life and take your scripts beyond the page.
Live Entertainment
Knowing how to work with actors is important for any project. When those actors are holding puppets, it requires a very specific skill set. I have worked as a director, consultant, and puppeteer for a wide range of theater and large venue projects including the internationally acclaimed orchestral concert series "Musical Adventures with Leopold". Puppeteer Training
Finding the right performers for a project can be extremely challenging. Keeping an eye towards diversity and equity is vital, and “training up” performers is a key part of the process. I have mentored and trained puppeteers for the Jim Henson Company, Walt Disney Company, and elsewhere for many years. I care deeply about this art form. Passing on the knowledge that has been shared with me is not only a privilege but the responsibility of those of us who are lucky enough to work in this wonderful, niche profession.
