Get ready to amp up your family concerts with the captivating and hilarious Musical Adventures with Leopold!

This delightful concert series was created by long-time Jim Henson Company puppeteer and graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music, Victor Yerrid. His original stories fully engage the audience through puppets, while simultaneously showcasing the magic of the orchestra. These whimsical tales accompany beloved pieces from the classical repertoire and take the family concert experience beyond Peter & the Wolf (no offense to Peter… or the Wolf). Meet Leopold a frisky, furry, bundle of fun who LOVES, LOVES, LOVES music! If it strums, hums, sings, plings, pops, clicks or bangs, it will grab Leopold’s attention. His passion is contagious and will keep both kids and parents riveted as the enchanting stories unfold.

It’s time for a dazzling musical adventure with Leopold!

People are Talking About Leopold

Victor Yerrid’s mastery of classical music and puppetry uniquely positions him to create truly unique concert experiences. The concert Victor produced with us was one of the most well-received family concerts we have ever done. You can’t help but smile from beginning to end. To top it all off, Victor himself is an absolute pleasure to work with.
— Erin Jude, Director of Education & Community Engagement, The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra
The performance that Victor has created with puppets and orchestra is fantastic. The program allowed our orchestra to shine while he and his crew brought incredible skill as puppeteers, comedians, and storytellers to the stage. Thank you, Victor, for filling our hall with laughter, great music, and attention to what an orchestra can do for all ages.
— Carolyn Nishon, Executive Director, Portland Symphony Orchestra

It is a show that is specifically designed for children, but gives space for all of us to be exposed to the talented musicians while at the same time busting with laughter watching the puppets tell their story. I tip my hat to both the puppeteers and the orchestra for creating an entertaining experience for children of all ages.
